Metagenomic Assessment of Prokaryotic Diversity within Hypersaline Tuz Lake, Turkey

چکیده

Tuz Lake is the second biggest lake with an extreme hypersaline environment (over 32% (w/v) salt) in Turkey. It reported that was of marine origin, and its formation began tensional movements during Late Cretaceous Eocene. We conducted this research to determine prokaryotic diversity by metagenomics approach, which 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing microbial communities their natural environments. Hence, next-generation then bioinformatic analysis used investigate structure halophilic Bacteria Archaea Lake. Metagenomic reads revealed all archaeal populations belonged Euryarchaeota Nanoarchaeaeota phyla. Haloquadratum (34%), Haloparvum (31%), Halonotius (7%), Halorubrum (3%), Halapricum (2%), Halobellus Natronomonas (1%), Halococcus Halobacterium (1%) were found as dominant genera. The most abundant diverse bacterial phyla Bacteroidetes Proteobacteria. remaining taxa assigned Acetothermia, Cyanobacteria, Firmicutes, Halanaerobiaeota. Salinibacter uncultured microorganisms Pseudomonas (<1%), Arhodomonas Halorhodospira Chromobacterium (<1%) common genera diversity. Monthly seasonal potential interactions among environmental factors investigated. detected several such temperature, salinity, drought might have significant effects on richness.

Metagenomic Insights into the Uncultured Diversity and Physiology of Microbes in Four Hypersaline Soda Lake Brines

Soda lakes are salt lakes with a naturally alkaline pH due to evaporative concentration of sodium carbonates in the absence of major divalent cations. Hypersaline soda brines harbor microbial communities with a high species- and strain-level archaeal diversity and a large proportion of still uncultured poly-extremophiles compared to neutral brines of similar salinities. We present the first "me...

Prokaryotic Diversity in Aran-Bidgol Salt Lake, the Largest Hypersaline Playa in Iran

Prokaryotic diversity in Aran-Bidgol salt lake, a thalasohaline lake in Iran, was studied by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), cultivation techniques, denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) of PCR-amplified fragments of 16S rRNA genes and 16S rRNA gene clone library analysis. Viable counts obtained (2.5-4 × 10(6) cells mL(-1)) were similar to total cell abundance in the lake de...

Diversity of halophilic archaea from six hypersaline environments in Turkey.

The diversity of archaeal strains from six hypersaline environments in Turkey was analyzed by comparing their phenotypic characteristics and 16S rDNA sequences. Thirty-three isolates were characterized in terms of their phenotypic properties including morphological and biochemical characteristics, susceptibility to different antibiotics, and total lipid and plasmid contents, and finally compare...

Exploration of Microbial Diversity and Community Structure of Lonar Lake: The Only Hypersaline Meteorite Crater Lake within Basalt Rock

Lonar Lake is a hypersaline and hyperalkaline soda lake and the only meteorite impact crater in the world situated in basalt rocks. Although culture-dependent studies have been reported, a comprehensive understanding of microbial community composition and structure in Lonar Lake remains elusive. In the present study, microbial community structure associated with Lonar Lake sediment and water sa...

Characterization of eukaryotic microbial diversity in hypersaline Lake Tyrrell, Australia

This study describes the community structure of the microbial eukaryotic community from hypersaline Lake Tyrrell, Australia, using near full length 18S rRNA sequences. Water samples were taken in both summer and winter over a 4-year period. The extent of eukaryotic diversity detected was low, with only 35 unique phylotypes using a 97% sequence similarity threshold. The water samples were domina...
